The United States (2017Present)

Electrical engineer with industrial experience developing lead electrical and optical products for 3D bioprinters and live cell imaging fluorescence microscopes from concept to production at CELLINK. I am passionate about robotics, entrepreneurship and social change. I enjoy meditating, reading, and hiking.

Caribbean (2015)

On a trip that lasted for around 5 months in the Caribbean at the end of 2015, I stayed in four different islands, namely: Martinique, Guadelope, Dominican Republic and Curaçao. During that time, I worked as an online freelancer on Elance and Upwork, had an internship in the Neurology Department at the University Hospital of Martinique under the supervision of Dr. Philippe Cabre on the topic of Nanotechnology for Neurology. Needless to say that I enjoyed so much all the famous Caribbean beaches while doing so!

Egypt (2014–2016)

After returning back to Egypt from Europe, I have been promoted to Assistant Lecturer in the Electronics and Communications Department at Modern Academy, where I resumed giving engineering classes to undergraduate students both in recitation and in laboratories. During this period, I had the fortunate opportunity to visit both Spain (I stayed in cities like Madrid, Nerja and Málaga) and France (I stayed mainly in Paris for about 10 days).

Germany (2014)

After studying for a year at the Catholic University of Leuven in Belgium and another at the Dresden University of Technology in Germany as part of the European Erasmus Mundus program, I obtained my second Master of Science degree in Nanoscience and Nanotechnology. I achieved a total score of 74.75%. During my European stay, I had the opportunity to visit (for work and pleasure) many other European countries such as Sweden, the Netherlands, France, Luxembourg, the Czech Republic and Latvia.

Egypt (2012)

Obtained a Master of Science degree in electrical engineering on the topic of Nanowire Lasers from Ain Shams University achieving a grade of 75%. My advisers were Doctors Ahmed Morshed and Said Beomy.

Egypt (2006)

Graduated as the first of my electrical engineering class (+300 students) at Modern Academy with a total grade of 95.6%. In the same year, I started working as a teaching assistant in the Electronics and Communications Department at my college, i.e. Modern Academy. As a teaching assistant I gave engineering classes both in recitation and in laboratories during the following 6 years. During these six years, I worked too on my Masters degree at Ain Shams University.

The United States (2005)

Graduated with a 3.96/4.00 CGPA from the University of the District of Columbia (UDC) in Electrical Engineering after being enrolled in the program for four years and attending its classes at the Modern Academy campus in Maadi, Egypt.

Egypt (2001)

Graduated with a grade of 88.6% from my high school, I have chosen to pursue my Bachelors degree in the field of engineering. Hence, I enrolled in a joint engineering program between the University of the District of Columbia (UDC) -an American University in Washington, DC- and Modern Academy for Engineering and Technology (MAM) -the third oldest and biggest Egyptian private institute for engineering. I attended my classes for the following few years at the Modern Academy campus in Maadi, a southern district of Cairo.

Egypt (1996)

My family moved to Cairo. We lived in Nasr City, an eastern district of Cairo. I attended a local middle school and since I graduated with good grades, I went to one of the best high schools in Nasr City, namely: Amir El Shoaraa Secondary School.

Libya (1984)

Born to a Serbian mother and an Egyptian father in Tripoli. My parents worked at Al-Hadhba Al-Khadra General Hospital and we lived in the Bin Ashur neighborhood till I was around 10 years old. We moved then to the El-Spiaa district south of Tripoli when my Dad had a new job at the General Hospital there. I attended primary school at Tripoli College being taught classes in English by UK native speakers.
