The piece I would like to share with you today is Dusam Daram created by Bahram. You can find the link below. I find the music and singer’s voice to be beautiful. Bahram’s instrument is the Persian Santoor. Most of the lyrics of his songs are based on Rumi’s and other mystical poetry. A Sufi and Indian influence is apparent in his music. Questions arising in me now are: – What are the differences/similarities between Egyptian and Middle Eastern Sufi ideas and traditions and their counterparts in Persia/Iran both in the past and now?- What are the differences/similarities between Persian Sufi ideas and traditions and Hinduism, Buddhism and Taoism?- Dancing to music is a form of expression. You may sometimes be compelled to do it. You can release energy by it or maybe better put still, energy flows through you. You are both the dance and dancer. You are creating the dance as much as the dance is creating you. It is effortless.- I do not understand spoken in this song. Nevertheless, I am enjoying the depth, variety and music inherent in it. I would assume this is Persian?- Is the color white that Bahram is wearing signify “purity”? Is it possible to symbolize purity using the color black? In optics, it is known that white lights comes from the merge of all the visible colors of light. Black is the absence of visible light. How about Hasidic Jews, they are wearing the color black? Does it have a significance? Is it for mourning?- Bahram was born in a Kurdish town in Persia. Kurdistan and Kurdish people subdivided into 4 countries; Iran, Iraq, Turkey and Syria. Why should not they form their own country if they desire?

القطعة اللي احب اني اشارككم فيها النهاردة اسمها

و اللي عملها واحد اسمه باهرام. انتوا تقدروا تسمعوا القطعة في اللينك اللي موجود فوق. انا شايف ان الموسيقى و صوت المغني في القطعة دي جُمال. باهرام بيستعمل اداة موسيقية فارسية اسمها سانتور. اغلب كلمات اغانيه مستوحاة من الشاعر الصوفي رومي و من الشعر “الروحاني” (انا مش لاقي ترجمة افضل للكلمة) عامةً. التاثير الصوفي و الهندي واضح في الموسيقى بتاعته. اسئلة بتطرح جواية دلوقتي:- ايه اوجه الشبه و الاختلاف ما بين الأفكار و التقاليد الصوفية في مصر و الشرق الأوسط و بين نظرائها في ايران في الماضي و الحاضر؟- ايه اوجه الشبه و الاختلاف ما بين الأفكار و التقاليد الصوفية في ايران و في المنطقة الفارسية عموما و الأفكار و التقاليد الهندوسية و البوذية و الطاوية؟- الرقص لل\مع الموسيقى هو نوع من التعبير. في بعض الأحيان انت ما تقدرش تقامه. انت تقدر تطلق طاقة عن طريقها أو ممكن نعبر عن ده بطريقة افضل بان الطاقة بتسري من خلالك. انت الاتنين الرقص و الراقص. انت بتخلق الرقصة على قد ما الرقصة بتخلقك. انت بتعمل كدة من غير جهد.- انا مش فاهم اللغة المستخدمة في الأغنية دي. على الرغم من كدة، انا مستمتع بالعمق، التنوع و الموسيقى الكامنة فيها. انا مفترض ان اللغة المستعملة هنا هي الفارسية؟- هل اللون الابيض اللي باهرام لابسه هنا بيرمز لل”النقاء”؟ هل من الممكن اننا نرمز للنقاء باستعمال اللون الاسود؟ في علم الضوء و البصريات من المعروف ان الضوء الابيض مكون من مزج جميع الألوان في الضوء المرئي. الاسود هو غياب الضوء المرئي. ماذا عن يهود الحسيديةاللي بيلبسوا اللون الاسود؟ هل اللون هنا بيرمز لشيء محدد؟ هل هو مثلا بيرمز للحداد او الحزن؟- باهرام اتولد في قرية كردية في ايران. كردستان و الكرد مقسمين بين اربع دول: ايران، العراق، تركيا و سوريا. ليه ما يقدروش يكونوا دلوقتهم لو هم عايزين؟
